What is the On Farm Connectivity Program?
The On Farm Connectivity Program (part of the Better Connectivity Plan for Regional and Rural Australia) helps primary producers take advantage of advanced farming technology. Through improved digital connectivity, producers can boost productivity and increase safety on their farms. Round 2 of the program is running until May 31, 2025, or until funding is exhausted.
The objectives of the Program are to:
- Extend digital connectivity for advanced farming technology.
- Enable primary producers to adopt digital solutions for improved productivity and safety.
- Offset the cost of new communications equipment with substantial rebates.
What’s grants are available in Round 2?
For Round 2 of this grant opportunity $18 million is available in 2024-25 or until funding is exhausted, whichever occurs first.
▪ The minimum grant (rebate) amount is $1,000 (GST exclusive).
▪ The maximum grant (rebate) amount is $30,000 (GST exclusive)
You must submit your application by 30 April 2025 and submit your claim for rebate by 31 May 2025. The project period commences from the date you are notified your application is eligible. Project periods are up to a maximum of 120 calendar days or until 31 May 2025 whichever occurs first.
Expanded Product Range in Round 2
Bushmans is proud to offer more products in Round 2 based on the evolving needs of the market and advancements in technology. In addition to the items available in Round 1, our TankSmart® range, including poly water tanks, steel tanks, diesel tanks, fertiliser tanks, and troughs, is now eligible for a 50% rebate. Once approved, you only pay half the price, and the government covers the other half —no need to wait for reimbursement.

How to Participate
Participating in the OFCP is simple:
- Apply: Visit the Bushmans OFCP page and complete the form. We will assist you with the application process, where you will complete a brief section on the government portal; and claim submission.
- Approval: After Bushmans submits your application the approval process takes between 2-4 weeks.
- Purchase & Installation: Once approved, you’ll pay 50% of the cost upfront, and we’ll arrange for delivery and installation within 120 calendar days, including the TankSmart® monitoring device.
Important guidelines are:
- Bushmans, as an eligible equipment supplier, can claim up to the maximum rebate amount for each eligible primary producer with an ABN.
- Equipment suppliers are able to claim more than one rebate where the eligible Primary producer has multiple properties with a separate ABN for each primary production property.
- The eligible primary producer is responsible for any remaining eligible and ineligible costs above the rebate amount, and these costs cannot be funded from existing Commonwealth, state, territory, and local government grants.

- Satellite Connectivity: Ideal for remote locations without mobile coverage, using satellite networks. $99/year (first year free).
- What colour options are available for equipment?
- Poly tanks: 13 standard colours.
- Steel tanks: Galvanised.
- Diesel tanks: Slate grey only.
- Fertiliser tanks: Same 13 colours as poly tanks.
